Following an ICT assessment, 18 top directors in the Federal Civil Service have been shortlisted for the next stage in the recruitment of permanent secretaries.
This is despite the fact that directors from Bauchi and Ebonyi states were disqualified owing to failing the assessment.
“The under-listed 18 candidates are invited to the oral interview stage of the process for the appointment of Permanent Secretaries in the Federal Civil Service following their successful performance in Stages 1 and 2 of the exercise,” a memo by the OHCSF said.
News24 Nigeria reports that a total of 85 directors were initially shortlisted for the written examination, with four of them missing.
According to reports, only 20 directors passed the exam and were invited to the following round, the ICT proficiency stage.
According to a memo obtained from the Office of the Federation’s Head of Civil Service on November 7, 2023, the 61 directors who failed the examination scored less than 50%, excluding them from the race.
The Federal Government’s recruitment procedure for new permanent secretary was previously reported to begin on October 9, 2023, according to a circular issued by the OHCSF on September 25, 2023.
Earlier in August, the OHCSF issued a call for directors on Grade Level 17 to apply for new and existing positions as permanent secretaries.
